Youth Programmer at Young Israel Ezras Israel of Potomac (YIEIP). YIEIP, an intimate and supportive Torah community, seeks an energetic individual with excellent knowledge of the weekly parshot and davening to manage its youth programming. YIEIP is a synagogue with 50+ member families committed to Torah and Torah values. Centrally located with access to kosher food and shopping, YIEIP is an active part of the overall Potomac community consisting of hundreds of Jewish families. Duties will include: Managing and enhancing existing Shabbat and Yom Tov programming for children age 2 to 11 from 8:45 am -11:15 am; Developing age appropriate davening and parsha discussion for elementary school aged children; Providing leadership and direction for professionals and teenagers running the various groups; Schedule group leaders and recruit as needed; Plan and execute programming for Jewish holidays, including but not limited to Purim, Sukkah Hop, Simchat Torah, Chanukkah. Qualifications: One to three years of Jewish Youth Group leadership and/or programming experience; Strong knowledge of Parshot and Davening; Sincere passion for Torah values; Attention to detail; Must be flexible, professional, and friendly; Available to be on site for Shabbat and Yom Tov.
