GW Hillel and the Jewish Student Association are pleased to offer Traditional Conservative and Reform services on campus for students, alumni, parents and friends. Our services are led by dynamic, trained leaders and all services are egalitarian.

HIGH HOLIDAY DATES:

Rosh Hashanah begins on Monday, September 29 and continues through Wednesday October 1. Yom Kippur begins on Wednesday, October 8 and continues through Thursday, October 9.

Texas BBQ for Hurricane Ike Relief (Monday, 9/22 from noon – 2pm) 0

Stop by Hillel on Monday, September 22nd between noon and 2pm to enjoy some delicous BBQ for a great cause.  We will be raising money to help the families affected by Hurricane Ike in Texas and along the gulf coast.  There will be $5 burgers, $3 hotdogs, $1 drinks plus all the fixin’s.  Bring your friends and enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch while helping others.  Contact Steve for more info.

Graduate Student and Young Professional Shabbat 0

Join us this Friday night, September 19th for a special Graduate Student and Young Professional Shabbat featuring Israeli wine pairings with dinner. Challah Baking w/ Andrea 0

As the week winds down, take some time to unwind and make Challah for Shabbat with Andrea.  Whether you’ve baked Challan a dozen times or want to learn how, come make Challah to take home for Shabbat.  We will be baking every Thursday night (starting this week) at 7:30 pm in the Hillel kitchen.  Contact Rob for more info.

Arabic Classes at GW Hillel 0

Classes will be held Monday and/or Wednesday evenings from September 15th to November 19th.  Beginner Arabic Class will be from 6 – 7:25pm and Intermediate Arabic Class will be from 7:30 – 8:55 pm.  All classes will be held at GW Hillel (corner of 23rd and H).  To sign-up for the class, just simply show up for the first meeting on 9/15.
