GW Hillel and the Jewish Student Association are pleased to offer Traditional Conservative and Reform services on campus for students, alumni, parents and friends. Our services are led by dynamic, trained leaders and all services are egalitarian.
HIGH HOLIDAY DATES:
Rosh Hashanah begins on Wednesday, September 12 and continues through Friday, September 14. Yom Kippur begins on Friday, September 21 and continues through Saturday, September 22.
SERVICE LOCATIONS & TIMES:
All Traditional Conservative Yom Kippur Services will be led by GW Hillel’s Assistant Director, Rabbi Joshua Ginsberg, and will be held in the the Grand Ballroom on the third floor of the Marvin Center, 800 21st Street NW (21st & H).
All Reform Yom Kippur services will be led by Dr. David Altshuler and Douglas Mishkin and will be held in the GW Lisner Auditorium, 730 21st Street NW (21st & H).
Yom Kippur -
Friday, September 21 (Kol Nidre Service)
- Conservative 6:30 PM
- Reform 8:30 PM
Saturday, September 22
- Conservative 9:00 AM
Mincha/Yizkor/Ne’ilah 5:15 PM - Reform 10:00 AM
Mincha/Yizkor/Ne’ilah 4:30 PM
Prayer books and kippot will be provided at all services. Talitot (prayer shawls) will not.
TICKET RESERVATIONS:
STUDENTS: Please bring your Gworld Card to the service location to receive tickets.
COMMUNITY, FAMILY & FRIENDS: Please come to the Walk-in table at the service location to receive tickets.
The deadline for reserving tickets has passed.
STUDENTS
- Tickets are free for all current students.
- Non-GW students are welcome to attend services.
- You must bring a valid student ID card with you to all services.
COMMUNITY, FAMILY & FRIENDS
- Yom Kippur ticket packages for non-students are available for $65 per adult (free for children under age 12).
- If you are unable to make a ticket reservation by September 20, please come as a walk-in. Walk-ins may mail payment to GW Hillel after the holidays.

For security purposes, please bring a photo ID card to all services.
MEAL TIMES & RESERVATIONS:
Meals will be held at GW Hillel, 23rd & H.
