Below are details on Seders, Meals, Reservation deadlines, kosher for Passover groceries and selling chametz at GW Hillel. We hope you will join us for the holiday!
Passover begins at nightfall, 7:14 pm, on Monday, April 2, and ends at sundown, 8:20 pm, on Tuesday, April 10.
– SEDERS –
* The deadline for reserving Seder meals has now passed.*
1st night, April 2 - Seder begins at 7:00 PM; Doors open at 6:30 PM. Please be advised - there will be a very limited number of “walk-in” seats and these are not guaranteed. Come join with your friends, classmates and community members for a traditional Passover seder. Cost = $18/student; $36/non-student.
2nd night, April 3 - Seder begins at 7:30 PM; Doors open at 7:00 PM. Please be advised - there will be a very limited number of “walk-in” seats and these are not guaranteed. The Jewish Progressive Political Assocation’s alternative seder will focus on immigration. While following the traditional seder, current issues in the news will be addressed. If you wish to run your own alternative seder at GW Hillel (minimum group of 8 people) please contact GW Hillel. Individuals interested in home hospitality for 2nd night should contact GW Hillel. Cost = $18/students; $36/non-students.

– MEALS –

No Walk-Ins Will Be Accepted At Meals.
Seders and meals are prepared in the Hillel kitchen which has been kashered (cleaned) for Passover. Meals are prepared by Linda Berns of Custom Kosher. The kitchen will be locked during non-meal times and will only be accessed by Hillel staff members.
GW Hillel will provide delicious, kosher for Passover lunches and dinners each day of the holiday. You will find the appropriate links to RSVP below. To see the menu, please click here.
- Students: Lunch = $10 / Dinner = $15
- Non-Students: Lunch = $15 / Dinner = $ 20
- Please note that meals that receive less than 10 RSVPs will be cancelled. You will be notified by Tuesday, March 27 should this be necessary.
Meal Times:
- Lunch: 12:30 - 2:00 PM
- Dinner: 6:00 - 8:00 PM
- Please Note: Shabbat Dinner on Friday, April 6th will immediately follow services. Dinner on Monday, April 9th will be extended until 9:00 PM.
– KOSHER-FOR-PASSOVER GROCERIES –
GW Hillel will have a few staple items available for sale and these items will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Items will be for sale before the holiday, during the week of Monday, March 26 and, again, during the holiday, from Wednesday, April 4 - Friday, April 6. Groceries will be available between 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
– SELLING CHAMETZ –
GW Hillel offers 2 options for seeling chametz.
