Congressman Steve Israel 0

Join SAFI, the College Democrats and the JSA and hear Congressman Steve Israel adress the GW student body. Congressman Steve Israel is one of Israel’s greatest defenders in Congress. He has consistently supported Israel’s right to exist and defend itself as well as being an advocate for a stronger US-Israel relationship. Mr. Israel will discuss the need to support the State of Israel at this crucial period in time.

Fireside Chats 0

Our next Fireside Chats speaker is Gordy Zacks, one of the top leaders of UJC, a founding member of AIPAC, and an informal advisor to Vice President George W. H. Bush and President Reagan, and then to President George W. Bush. He was offered both an ambassadorship and a cabinet position but he turned them down to remain an advisor on Middle East policy. Mr. Gordy authored a book on Jewish leaders called “Defining Moments, Stories of Character, Courage, and Leadership.” Space is limited.

Purim Mishloach Manot (giving gifts to friends) 0

One of the mitzvot of Purim is the giving of gifts to loved ones or mishloach manot. Kedma is inviting everyone to purchase mishloach manot packages for their friends on campus – each package will be filled with hamantashin and assorted snacks. Orders can be made online with your GWorld #. The packages cost $3 for the first and $1 for each additional (i.e.: 4 friends = $6). Orders must be placed by Monday, February 26 and packages will be available on Thursday, March 1.Click here to order mishloach manot packages.
